Delegation Playbook Builder
Walk through four steps to build a per-function delegation playbook — pick a preset function, edit the standards, visibility metrics, and escalation triggers inline, then export as markdown or PDF and share a link that restores the full playbook.
Delegation fails when founders hand off tasks without handing off the infrastructure that makes autonomous execution possible. The infrastructure has three components: standards (what good looks like), visibility (what the dashboard shows without asking), and escalation triggers (what fires when thresholds breach). This builder walks you through all three for one function at a time.
The five preset functions are Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Finance. Each preset is built from the published Oblong delegation framework — the values are numeric, the thresholds are concrete, and the escalation procedures are specific enough to actually run. You can edit any field inline before exporting.
The dashboard at step 4 evaluates each metric against its thresholds in real time as you type current values, and the export menu gives you markdown (for your docs), PDF (browser print → Save as PDF), and a shareable link (the full playbook is encoded into the URL hash, so the link reconstructs the playbook when opened).

Which function are you delegating?
Start from a preset you can edit inline. Each preset comes from the published Oblong delegation framework — the standards, metrics, and triggers below are concrete, numeric, and adoptable as-is.
Standards — what does good look like?
Edit any field inline. The delegate uses these standards to self-assess — keep each one measurable, with a number the delegate can hit or miss.
Visibility — what you check weekly
These are the 3–5 indicators you'll see on your dashboard. Edit the thresholds if your stage, industry, or business model needs different ranges; the dashboard's traffic-light evaluation reads these values directly.
Escalation triggers & dashboard
Edit the escalation triggers (each one fires when the condition holds). The status column on the right is your dashboard — green means within threshold, yellow means warning, red means action needed.
Escalation triggers
Dashboard — current status
Type a current value next to each metric (e.g. "3.2x", "98%", "$45K"). The dashboard re-evaluates on every keystroke.
Export
Download as markdown, print to PDF (browser print → "Save as PDF"), or copy a shareable link that restores the full playbook on reload.
